The Cranbury Lions Annual Holiday Party was held at the Doral Forrestal on Friday, December 14th. For those of you who were unable to make it, I am sorry to report that you missed one great party! Thanks to Lions Frank Marlowe and Bob Virgadamo for their efforts in organizing the party and obtaining the venue. Special thanks to Lion Don Herr for his help in obtaining an additional discount from the Forrestal.
The Toys for Tots Program was a resounding success! On December 17th the Marines made the final pick-up of the 739 toys, dolls, games, and stuffed animals we collected from the four participating drop locations The Post Office, First Constitution Bank (Village Branch), PNC Bank, and Princeton Lightwave, Inc. A laurel and hardy handshake to Lion Mike Kaiser, for his assistance in picking up the toys, in Ewing, that were destined for the Cranbury Lions sponsored group, Better Beginnings Daycare Center in Hightstown. And, once again, an Attaboy to our Santa, Lion Roy Reinhardt, for appearing and giving gifts to all the children at Better Beginnings.
Scout Troop 52 will be going on a ski trip on Sunday, February 3, 2002. Since we are the Troop sponsor, we have been invited to go. Lift tickets for the day will be half price (last year that was $23). Anyone wishing to go can contact Lion Joe Carroll before January 27.
