1. MEMBERSHIP FEE

Before being enrolled as an Active Cranbury Lions Club Member, each new Member shall pay such membership fee as may, from time to time, be set by the Board of Directors.

2. DUES

Dues shall be paid, based on each Member’s Membership Classification, as hereinabove defined.

A.      Except as herein provided, each Active Member shall pay annual dues as set forth by the Board of Directors and approved by the General Membership at any Regular meeting of the Club. Said dues shall include, but not be limited to, annual Lions Club International Dues, dinner fees, and administrative fiscal requirements, as from time to time, may be set forth by the Board of Directors, and shall be payable quarterly, in advance, and promptly upon receipt of a bill from the Club Treasurer, or designee.

B.     Each Member-At-Large and each Privileged Member shall pay annual dues, as set by the Board of Directors and approved by the General Membership at a regular Club meeting, but in no event shall said dues for these classifications be less than the annual per member dues owed by the Club to Lions Clubs International, and said dues shall be payable quarterly, in advance, and promptly upon receipt of a bill from the Club Treasurer, or designee.

C.     Dues for each Honorary Member and each Special Member, so elected, may be set or waived entirely, at the discretion of the Board of Directors.

D.     As an incentive for the extra volunteer work required for the position, the Secretary of the Club shall be exempt from the payment of dues. 

3.   FINES

Fines, as may hereinafter be described, may be assessed upon any Member or Members, as hereinafter outlined, and such fines shall be added to collected funds for the use of the Administrative Budget, as hereinafter outlined and defined.

Such fines, the amounts of which may change from time to time, but shall not exceed One Dollar ($1.00), unless by a vote taken by the membership, shall be collected only at regular meetings, by the Club’s Tail Twister, and in accordance with the provisions set forth by Lions International, and adopted locally by this Club, for the position of Tail Twister. No Member shall be fined more than twice at any one meeting.
