The Board of Recreation Commissioners was established by the Township Committee in 1961. The board is responsible for providing, conducting and supervising recreational activities in the Township. This body is also empowered to adopt and enforce rules concerning the use of Brainerd Lake for sports activities.
The board consists of seven regular members and two alternates who are residents of Cranbury. They are appointed to serve five year terms by the Mayor. Vacancies shall be filled for the unexpired term of office so vacated. Unless noticed otherwise, these meetings will be held on the fourth Thursday, in the Town Hall, Conference Room, starting at 8:00 p.m. The Board does not meet in August or November.
Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:15p-7:15p in Cranbury School Gym
Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:15p-9p and Sundays 3p-5p in Cranbury School Gym
Boys and Girls ages 4-6 on Thursday evenings, April 25-June 13 from 6p-7p at Millstone Park. Registration limited to 40 children. Fee is $35 for Cranbury residents. Contact the Recreation Office at 395-0544 x232.
Offered by the Cranbury Recreation Commission for students age 3 through grade 7. Registration packets are available at the Recreation Office and the Library. The program will be held for 8 weeks starting June 24th and ending August 16th at the Cranbury School.
