Photographs of Cranbury's famous Paw Paw Tree

These photographs were taken in1998 and 1999. The Paw Paw tree is on the lot between #10 and #14 Maplewood Avenue. The lot is owned by the Cranbury Housing Authority (CHA).

Paw Paw Trees like to grow in the shade of taller trees. The Cranbury Paw Paw Tree grows in the shadow of a Sugar Magnolia.

The leaves grow to be more than one foot long!

This photo isn't great, but you can see that the darker area is the sucklings and the lighter area is the adult tree.

These giant leaves are growing on a suckling, a young tree that grows as a root of the parent tree.
